68030 MISCELLANY

A miscellaneous collection of shots of 68030, contributions welcome.

This excellent shot of 68030 was taken by David Gibson on 20th January 2006 and shows the engine en route from Froghall to the Crewe workshops of LNWR Heritage Ltd.. The locomotive is to undergo a mini overhaul in preparation for the 2006 season which will be spent on the Churnet Valley Railway.

The East Lancashire Railway's gala day and 68030 was in use shunting stock around the yard. 30/10/04

Later, the engine was used on a demonstration freight train but, due to an incident involving 71000, the activities were curtailed somewhat. 68030 is seen here in Bury station. 30/10/04

I think "atmospheric" is the term used. This dramatic shot by David Gibson shows 68030 working its way North on 22nd January 2004 with a driver experience special.
