This excellent
shot of 68030 was taken by David Gibson on 20th January 2006
and shows the engine en route from Froghall to the Crewe workshops
of LNWR Heritage Ltd.. The locomotive is to undergo a mini overhaul
in preparation for the 2006 season which will be spent on the
Churnet Valley Railway.

The East Lancashire
Railway's gala day and 68030 was in use shunting stock around
the yard. 30/10/04
Later, the engine
was used on a demonstration freight train but, due to an incident
involving 71000, the activities were curtailed somewhat. 68030
is seen here in Bury station. 30/10/04
I think "atmospheric"
is the term used. This dramatic shot by David Gibson shows 68030
working its way North on 22nd January 2004 with a driver experience
special.
